GROSSE POINTE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
HHA provides support for the GPHA. We're one of the proud sponsors of American Development Model, Under 8 (ADM,U8); including many travel hockey teams over the past several years. Both managing partners, Paul Fayad and Dan Bowen currently coach within this organization. In addition to coaching, Paul is involved in an instrumental hockey program throughout the Metro area for disadvantaged kids.
American Development Model (ADM) is a new system of training minor hockey players in the United States, developed by USA Hockey with the urging and support of the National Hockey League. ADM is designed to properly train young players with a "Hockey For Life" motivation. The lowest level players will find fun, success, and a chance to improve while maintaining a desire to continue playing year after year. The very best players will be prepared to solidify the United States position as a leader in international hockey as well as put more American born players in the NHL.
ADM for all players 8 and under ('03 travel team is grandfathered). Associations across the country are implementing ADM, however GPHA is one of, if not the only one in Metro Detroit.
